MUN

IBC organized Model United Nations to proselytize students in formal debating and deliberation. The event was conducted in two rounds in the span of two consecutive weekends. The preliminary round was conducted on the first weekend, wherein the students were evaluated through different comprehensive but arduous competitions.
The participating candidates were shortlisted based on well framed events to moderate them based on their communication skills, spontaneity and general awareness. A total of 20 delegates were selected and called in for a training session the next day.
During the training session, students were given a brief idea about the various terminologies and procedures used in MUN. The selected students were paired up into teams where each team represented a country in the UN.

The MUN conference was conducted on the following weekend where the agendas were decided to be, "Effect of Industries Powered by Fossil Fuels on Global Climate" and "Increasing Number of Refugee Crises all across the Globe". All the delegates gave their best and presented their ideas and discussed appropriately.

The conference put before the students an opportunity to voice their opinions on world issues and proved to be a great platform for the participants to develop skills in the field of public speaking and management. It also gave them an insight into diplomacy and international relations. The event witnessed a footfall of 200+ participants in the preliminary round. The number is itself a testimonial to the success of the event.
